About the Event

Plant Sensory Connection Workshop

Join us for a 2.5-hour Nature Therapy and Plant Connection Walk.

In this inclusive workshop, you'll engage in sensory activities—from blindfolded walks to silent sit spots—spark meaningful conversations about disability and nature, and participate in creative arts and crafts. As a special takeaway, each participant will nurture a plant they've connected with, a living reminder of the healing power of nature.

This workshop is hosted by Summer Crider, a Gainesville native who is a certified Nature and Forest Therapy guide. Deaf since the age of 3, Summer has navigated the world with a unique perspective on how we should connect with the Natural world and with one another, communication beyond words. The language of this workshop is a mix of sign language and written language and we will have the opportunity to express ourselves creatively through gestures and silence.

Limited to 8 spots at $40 per…
